What work they did

We hired Henry Carpentry & Build to renovate the lower ground floor of a Victorian property. The project involved converting it into an open-plan space, removing supporting walls, damp proofing, replacing a staircase, enlarging the back door, installing doors and windows, converting a corridor into three rooms (toilet, utility, and boot room), modifying a bespoke kitchen, installing a large kitchen island, underfloor heating, new flooring, electrics, plumbing, and decorating throughout.

Henry Carpentry and Build Ltd did an excellent job converting our garage into a utility room. The team was professional, hardworking, and delivered work of outstanding quality. We’re thrilled with the results and impressed by their attention to detail throughout the project. We’ll definitely be using them again for our loft conversion!

I used Henry Carpentry and Build to take down a load bearing wall after being recommended them by several neighbours, and I’m so happy I did! The whole team are incredibly professional, punctual and efficient. It took them two weeks start to finish to take the wall down, and did a fantastic job tidying up. I will 100% be using them again for jobs I have in the future!

We had the team replace our staircase, reconfigure our under stairs storage, and put up some shelves, and various other bits and pieces. The standard of all the work was excellent. We changed and added to the plans part way through the project, and the team were accommodating and helpful in putting our updated plans into practice. Communication was excellent throughout, the cost was reasonable, and the whole team were extremely professional. I would absolutely recommend and would be happy to have them back for any other work we were considering.

Leon and team refurbished my house, garage and outbuilding. The work included tanking, installing underfloor insulation, painting the house internally, installing a new boiler, fitting a bathroom and re-wiring. We requested several additions during the project and Leon was always able accommodate these. The time and cost estimates were accurate and the house was always left in a neat and tidy condition. Leon was very responsive to calls and text messages and the final results were excellent. I would highly recommend Henry Carpentry and Build Ltd and would definitely use this firm again.

I was really impressed by Leon and his team. It’s always nerve racking when you invite people you don’t know into your home to do a job. But Leon and his team put me at ease almost straight away. Not only was the work they did for us on our extension first class but the team were very respectful of our house and privacy. The way they related to us and our 5 year old boy was brilliant. They fitted us in with limited notice and completed the job quickly. It’s been a while since we have had work completed on our house so I’m not sure if it’s a change in the industry or just an over achievement by this company but the focus on minimising disruption and mess was a huge step change to what we have previously experienced. Leon, Nathan & the team were fantastic from start to finish – very reliable & always super hepful & friendly. They all worked so hard and were always responsive to our many requests for adjustments & new additions! They were never bothered by disovering unexpected problems with our old building, advising us of solutions / workarounds, then fixing things for us with no fuss.
